I Love Thee Newfoundland: 8 Soul-Nourishing Days After a Year Away
There comes a time when we need to refill our cups — not through productivity or striving, but through connection, beauty, laughter, hugs, nature, meaningful conversations, creativity, and the feeling of being deeply held by community.
After a full year in Ottawa helping care for my father (who is now doing great!), I honestly didn’t think I would travel anywhere this year. But then the Universe intervened in its mysterious and perfect way.
I sold four Universal Law mandalas that could have been packed in any one of three different crates that were stored in Newfoundland. Rather than trying to coordinate it all from afar, I decided to return to the island and manage things myself.
And wow… what a gift that decision became.
Thank you, Universe, for the nudge, the support, and the warm embrace that awaited me there.
What unfolded was eight deeply soul-nourishing days in Newfoundland — days filled with reconnection, generosity, beauty, support, healing, creativity, laughter, movement, and love.
I arrived with five other sold paintings tucked carefully into my suitcase (thank you again, Newfoundland, for continuing to support my art in such beautiful ways ❤️), and I left with a heart overflowing from all that was shared and received.
This 14.5-minute video compilation only captures a fraction of the experience. I didn’t even begin filming until Day 2, and so many meaningful moments never made it onto camera. But perhaps that’s part of the beauty of life too — some moments are meant simply to be lived and carried in the heart.
Thank You!
One of the greatest gifts of this trip was witnessing the incredible web of community that exists in St. John’s.
Everywhere I turned, people were creating, helping, sharing, supporting, healing, teaching, making art, and finding ways to lift one another up. Being immersed in that spirit again was deeply inspiring.
To everyone who made this trip so memorable, thank you.
Thank you for the places to sleep, the food to share, the visits, rides, walks, hugs, gatherings, healing acupuncture, laughter, encouragement, camera-holding, crate-moving muscles, art supplies for touch-ups, playful participation in my video clips, and countless acts of kindness.
Thank you to those who hosted my art, welcomed my paintings into their homes, and helped create opportunities for meaningful connection through art and conversation.
The sold-out Universal Laws interactive event was another highlight. While I may have facilitated the evening, it was the openness, curiosity, wisdom, and participation of everyone in the room that made it so special. Gatherings like that remind me how powerful it can be when people come together to explore life’s deeper questions, share perspectives, and learn from one another.
Every gesture mattered.
Every connection mattered.
I felt so welcomed, supported, and loved.
This trip was made beautiful by so many connections, and I’m especially grateful for the sacred time shared with dear soul sisters Leslie Bridger and Kerri Best — moments of laughter, reflection, witnessing, friendship, and genuine presence that filled my heart in lasting ways. ❤️
I love theeNewfoundland.
7 Mandalas Still Available at Sacred Serenity or From Me
One of the highlights of this trip was reconnecting with the Universal Law mandala collection currently available at Sacred Serenity in St. John’s.
Seven mandalas are still available for purchase, each carrying its own story, symbolism, and energetic presence. I’ve decided to continue offering them at $1,000 off the regular price.
New Limited Printing of the Visionary Word Card Decks
While I was in Newfoundland, I also had 16 more decks of my bilingual Visionary Word Cards professionally printed — and I’m so excited to finally have more available again. 12 left.
Creating these cards was an act of love, and it’s been a joy to see the many different ways people have incorporated them into their creative and spiritual practices.
These are not traditional oracle cards, but rather large-format intuitive art cards designed to nourish creativity, reflection, intuition, conversation, journaling, language learning, and inspiration.
Each limited-edition deck includes:
- 111 cards
- Large 5” x 7” framable format
- Full non-cropped paintings
- One paired word in English and French on each card
- Suggestions for intuitive and creative use
Only around 36 decks currently exist in the world.
People have been using them:
- as oracle-style prompts,
- journal inspiration,
- daily guidance,
- conversation starters,
- creativity expanders,
- and even as small framable art pieces throughout their homes.
You can purchase your deck here for $222 Canadian with shipping to be determined based on your location (approx. $20 in Canada/ $30 in U.S.). Contact me for full price with tax & shipping to pay by e-transfer.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this journey such a meaningful reminder of the importance of allowing ourselves to be nourished too.
Sometimes we don’t even realize how much we needed the refill until we finally receive it.
May you, too, find the people, places, moments, and unexpected invitations that help refill your cup — and may you remain open to the beautiful ways the Universe supports us beyond what we could have planned for ourselves.
Love,
Dominique
