Quenched by Light emerged from this truth: when we are rooted in Source, life flows through us.
Like trees, we are not meant to live disconnected from the unseen essence that sustains us. The deeper the roots, the more naturally our gifts, creativity, and love begin to express.
The tree woman stands rooted in Earth, opening upward into a lotus sun—symbolizing awakening, self-realization, and connection to the Divine. Energy rises through her like sap through a tree, reflecting the inner current that awakens when we are aligned with Spirit.
An amethyst at her third eye represents intuition and inner vision.
So often we search for Light outside ourselves, yet it has always been within us—moving through us, creating through us, expressing as us.
The process of making this piece became a meditation: long hours of layering colour and thousands of dots, following where the painting wanted to go.
Light flows through the window and reappears in her leaves, shifting with iridescent movement—showing the same life force in every part of the whole.
To be “quenched by Light” is to remember: the Source we seek is already within us.
