2 More Drum Commissions

What an honour and blissful co-creative thrill to have been commissioned to paint 3 drums in addition to my original 8-painted-drum-fundraiser. Last week, I introduced you to the first commission, “The Helping Hands Drum“. Here are the other two.

1.  Hannah’s Gift Drum:

This drum was commissioned by Joanne Best of Earth & Sky Wellness to honour her daughter Hannah, who transitioned 21 years ago after only 9 days on this planet. After holding a commemorative drum circle, Joanne felt that Hannah wanted to come through for her on a drum with a message from Spirit.

So much love came flowing through the studio – with symbolic messages and energy work requests too.

Unbeknownst to me , the name “Hannah” means Gift from God, so the name I received for the drum was perfect.

If you look closely, the angel’s face is a tiny dove aiming at the extended hands holding the heart, which in turn is aimed at a whale’s tail. Love, peace, momentum for a deep journey into healing and love…

Once in her hands, Joanne received many other guiding messages through this precious drum. Thank you to Hannah, Joanne and our Teams of Divine Helpers for making this co-creation possible.

2.  The As Above So Below Drum:

The imagery for this piece emerged from a vision I received when long-time therapist Marie Wall of Aquila Wellness commissioned me to paint her a drum.

“I am new to drumming. After participating in a circle with Joanne Best, I felt moved to acquire my own drum.”

I co-created it with her Higher Self & Spirit on Easter weekend, which turned out to be super significant for her. There’s a reason UPS arrived 4 days early – all divinely coordinated.

This drum is filled with symbolism of transformation on a solid base of harmonized masculine & feminine energy – the triangles pointing in 2 directions. The butterflies are framed in happiness-energy Light by the blossoming and fruit-bearing sunflowers. And at the core of it all is another symbol of balance, the double-spiral, which also represents spiritual awakening and the concurrence of the physical world with the spiritual realm.

“As Above So Below” speaks of the interconnectedness of my life and my practice. First is the emergence of life and transformation. Being int he midst of my own journey as a healing practitioner, I feel the caterpillar and butterfly are wonderful expressions of my journey, as well as the continued cycle of evolution. I trust life and all its gifts. This so symbolizes my path.

The sunflowers are a new symbol for me. Strong and yet delicate. The symmetry of the seeds and petals. Nutrients for the animals and Beauty for the soul. Following the light and standing tall. The sunflowers feel posed to be and to give.

The drum is energy, art, pulse, connection and so much more. I look forward to deepening my relationship with “As Above So Below” and to see where she leads me.”  ~ Marie Wall
