When Spirit Speaks in Poetry

One of the layers woven into a Divine Storytelling Time Package is something I call the Spirit Calling Card Reading.

If you’re new here, Divine Storytelling Time is a deeply intuitive offering that unfolds over several hours. It includes a one-hour audio journey and a Visual Gift created from layered symbolic imagery, and it invites a way of listening I often describe as becoming a gentle detective — curious, embodied, and attentive rather than analytical.

This post focuses on the Spirit Calling Card Reading — and invites you to begin engaging with poetic, symbolic guidance in your own life.

A word. An image. A conversation.

Each Spirit Calling Card carries two forms of language at once:

  • a single word

  • and one of my paintings or photographs

These cards come from a now sold-out limited edition set of 88, created from years of visual work and intuitive seeing. The image on each card matters just as much as the word. Together, they speak in a language that bypasses logic and goes straight to felt sense.

At the very beginning of my 4–5 hours of work for a client, I draw five of these cards.

In this particular spread, the words are:

transform · open · truth · love · clarity

Individually, they are simple. Familiar.

But when the images are placed beside them — and the words are allowed to rearrange — they stop behaving like definitions and begin behaving like symbols in motion.

Before you read on…

Before you move any further, I invite you to pause for a moment.

Bring to mind your life as it is right now.
Is there a situation, relationship, decision, or inner question that feels unfinished or unclear?

You don’t need to name it perfectly. Just hold it gently in awareness as you continue reading.

Five words. One living sentence.

Although clients are welcome to explore all possible combinations, I intuitively choose the sentence that feels like the gateway — the one that opens the way into the visions and deeper storytelling that follow.

Here are a few examples of how these five words might come together:

  • Open to true love’s transforming clarity.
  • Transform your truth by loving this clear opening.
  • Love transforms what truth opens with clarity.
  • From openness to clarity: let love truly transform.
  • Open. Be truthful in love. Let clarity transform.
  • Truly open to love by clear transformation.
  • Transform your truth by clearly opening to love.

As you read them, notice:

Which sentence speaks most strongly to the situation you’re holding?
Which one creates a subtle or marked shift in your body — goosebumps, a softening, a resistance, a quiet recognition?

That felt response matters more than understanding the words.

How meaning begins to take shape

Poetic guidance isn’t fixed. It meets the moment you’re in.

Take this sentence:

Open to true love’s transforming clarity.

On one day, this might suggest:

  • opening inwardly rather than outwardly
  • allowing clarity to come through feeling, not explanation
  • letting unconditional love shift how you see the situation before you act or judge

On another day, the same sentence might point to:

  • trying to understand instead of being understood
  • allowing love to shape how you share yourself with the world
  • trusting transformation rather than forcing resolution

Now consider this sentence:

Transform your truth by loving this clear opening.

At one moment, this might look like:

  • recognizing an opening and choosing progress not perfection
  • meeting an opportunity to learn something new
  • receiving a challenge as a gift in the bigger picture of your life

At another time, it could mean:

  • stretching your comfort zones to grow
  • letting love lead rather than control
  • trusting that truth can transform as it’s met with love and openness

These are not instructions — just illustrations.

You’re invited to work with the sentence that speaks most strongly to you.

What might it mean now?
And which meaning feels more aligned with guidance from your Higher Self?

Your meaning matters

After reading the examples, return to the sentence that spoke to you.

Ask yourself:

  • If this sentence were guiding me today, what inspired action might I take?

  • How would I proceed differently?

You don’t need to answer these questions immediately.

Often, the guidance reveals itself later — in a conversation, a choice, a bodily response, or a moment of unexpected clarity.

Try this for yourself

Symbolic language doesn’t give instructions. It opens space.

Return to the five words:

transform · open · truth · love · clarity

Rearrange them.
Say the sentences out loud.

Choose the sentence that feels the strongest — not the one that sounds the most poetic or correct.

Let it walk beside you for the day.
Not as an answer.
As a companion.

A few gentle ways to continue engaging:

  • Turn your sentence into an affirmation and write it down where you can see it.

  • Sit with the images on the cards and notice what additional layers of meaning they evoke.

Then, live your life.

That’s where the wisdom becomes real.

What Listening Is Really Like

When people hear the words intuitive reading, they often imagine a conversation — questions asked, insights given, meaning explained.

Divine Storytelling Time is something quite different.

At the heart of the experience is a one-hour audio recording — a continuous, dream-like storytelling journey that unfolds when I ask for a reading for you and connect our Teams of Divine Helpers. What comes is not advice, prediction, or interpretation, but a living inner landscape.

I see what feels like a benevolent cinematic sequence — scene after scene — and I simply describe everything as it appears. There are no villains, no warnings, no outcomes promised. Just imagery, movement, place, and tone — offered faithfully, moment by moment.

My role is not to guide the story or explain it.
My role is to witness and narrate.

Your role is to listen.

And this is where the experience continues long after the recording ends.

This Image Is Not Random

This image came through during a Divine Storytelling Time session.

I have permission to share it — but not the story it belongs to.

And that feels exactly right.

Because this work was never about revealing someone else’s answers.
It’s about helping you remember how to listen to your own.

When a Visual Gift is co-created during a session, it’s shaped intentionally through layers of my own photography, guided by your Team of Divine Helpers and Higher Self.

This is why I don’t interpret either the story or the Visual Gifts for my clients in a prescriptive way.

My role is not to tell you what something means, but to help create a container where your own inner knowing can speak clearly and safely.

Each piece is created from layers of my own photography, gathered over years of travel and seeing the world through a contemplative lens. I’m intuitively guided through my personal archive of more than 38,000 original images, narrowing it down to five to seven photographs that want to speak together.

I share the source images with you, so you can see where each element comes from and where it was taken. For some, this context becomes part of the guidance — another set of clues woven into the work.

I then work slowly in Photoshop, blending these photographs by hand — shaping light, texture, and form in ways that are both aesthetically harmonious and symbolically and energetically resonant.

What emerges is not generated, but assembled with care — a visual field you can return to, live with, and listen to over time.

Each visual gift is delivered as a large, high-resolution digital file, suitable for printing. You receive the image both with and without an affirmation, so you can choose how you want to live with it.

I’m Ready When You Are

The past six and a half months have been a deeply meaningful time of love in action — helping my father settle into his new home after months in hospital, preparing his house for sale, and walking beside him through change. Now, both of us have found our balance again. I’m thrilled to say he celebrated his 93rd birthday in fine form a couple of weeks ago.

Papa is thriving in his residence just a 15-minute walk from my new apartment, and we still enjoy our nature walks together  — sometimes up to 5 km with his walker (watch short video here)! I’ve moved into my own bright, peaceful space — my little monk’s cave in a luxury building — and this new season of quiet independence feels like a conscious act of self-care and renewal.

Since the move on October 1, I’ve been slowing down and listening in. My Me-time has been filled with yoga, meditation, reading spiritual texts by the upper terrace fire, healthy cooking, and creating sacred space. I’ve been painting again (a new work called Cradled in the Infinite, which I’ll share soon) and aligning with the rhythm of Spirit — resting, opening, and co-creating.

Now that I’ve taken the time to realign and care for myself, I’m once again ready to support you on your own journey.

Finding Direction through Divine Storytelling Time

Have you ever delved into dream analysis?

It’s filled with answers. But it’s challenging.

You not only have to filter through the reprocessing of emotions and daily events,  you also have to remember what you dreamed in the first place.

I once applied for a program at Algonquin College in Ottawa because I woke up in the Czech Republic during my first year of teaching English as a Foreign Language convinced my earlier dreams had instructed me to go there.

It was only after a series of obstacles, including no one showing up for my scheduled in-person interview, that I went back to my dream journal and saw in black & white that I was meant to go to Carleton University. I’d obviously remembered wrong waking up hours later and acted on that false memory. Once I applied to Carleton, however, I got in without a hitch.

Also, if you’re at all stressed or depressed, some of the imagery from your dreams can be disturbing. Those states of distress are like static on the line between your little and Higher Self  – they stop you connecting to your intuition.

I hardly ever write my dreams down anymore. Why? I value my sleep too much. It takes a lot of effort and discipline to sit up, turn on the light, and write several times during the night. I will get up to pee now, but that’s about it.

What’s the Visual Gift?

I co-create your Visual Gift with Spirit, layering several of my photographs captured around the world. This provides more symbolic and location-based data for you to work with.

Immediately after recording your story, I’m guided to peruse through my library of over 36,000 photos to choose images that relate to the feelings or chapters of your story.

For example, Karen’s image was created with 7 different photos. She received links to see the originals too in case they individually help her connect to Guidance.

Intuition is the Way of the Future

The ways things work are changing.

The recent epidemic had many people question the structures and systems that govern both public infrastructure and their personal lives. It seems that many are realizing that the way of the future won’t be the way of the past. It simply can’t be.

According to the authors of the latest book I’m reading, “The Yugas: Keys to Understanding Our Hidden Past, Emerging Energy Age, and Enlightened Future”, our age is very slowly ascending towards an era called Tetra Yuga:

“This is when many people realize how connected we all really are — and work towards enhancing those connections. Many discover a higher purpose in life, which includes developing their life force. Many have acquired a sound intuition and know where to take their ideas.”

Although this era will begin far in the future for the population at large, some are leading the way.

Intuition is crucial in order to tune into new ideas and new ways of doing things.

It’s no longer about following social norms and living a life based on others’ expectations.

It’s time to forge your unique path that is aligned with your Highest Good and the Highest Good of All. 

To do that, you need to tune in to your inner wisdom, making decisions that may go against what’s typical in your area but are designed for you to emerge more fully as your Self.

Intuition is like having a direct line to Spirit, through your inner & outer senses, to know what is right for you.

Paramhansa Yogananda, the Indian yogi who brought yoga to the States back in the 20s and the guru to those at Ananda Village, where I recently spent 2 months volunteering, said:

Your Layers of Visual Symbolism

We receive our intuitive messages through many channels – our inner and outer sight, hearing, sensations, knowing, smell & taste.

It’s just like in school. Some people are auditory learners. Others are visual learners. Others are experiential learners. It’s good to teach with many learning styles in mind. Same with my Divine Storytelling Time Packages.

Your Team of Divine Helpers, your Higher Self, your inner wisdom – whatever you choose to call intuition will find a way to get Guidance to you, one way or another.

When I co-create a Divine Storytelling Time Package for you, I help you tune into your intuition by channeling both auditory & visual symbolic data for you to decipher.

Cynthia Talks About Her Divine Storytelling Time Experiences

 

Why did you choose to get another Divine Storytelling Time Package at this time?

I got the 1st as I was about to move my life and my web design business to another province. That first reading gave me the confirmation that I needed to continue on that path, and trust that I was making the right choice. Recently, I was procrastinating on a number of decisions, including another move, and starting a second business. After a rough year, I was looking for a few hints that would take me in the right direction again.

Can you tell us more about the benefits of that first one?

The story symbolized steps along the way that I needed to take before I could get to where I am now. It allowed me to be more confident in my decision making in my personal and professional life.

Several elements of the story really allowed me to own my value as an entrepreneur. Before I started working with you, I was much more critical, self-judgmental, and kept putting walls up when I compared myself and my progress to others.

The whole experience of working with the different parts of my Divine Storytelling Time Package incrementally opened my mind and my heart, showing me things I didn’t realize were barriers to expressing my Best Self.

I’m so much clearer about my direction in life. Mostly, I gained such trust – in myself and my process. I used to focus on the problems. Now, I see that not all challenges are problems, and I trust in their purpose, their gift.

There’s just so much more trust, in myself and in my experiences. More self-love. Excitement. And motivation. The stories show me my potential and it’s been incredibly motivating. It’s added such value to what I do on a daily basis.

How often do you work with the material?

I listen to my story every 2 days – sometimes the whole thing and something bits & pieces. I could almost recite the first one by heart (chuckle). So it’s easy to relate what’s happening around me to the story. I still sometimes listen to the first one because it’s still speaking to me 2.5 years later.

Is your experience with the 2nd different than the first? 

There were some consistencies between both my readings, like the appearance of a garden and injecting colour into everything around me. There were some big differences too.

They both have this quality of a timeline, while simultaneously hinting at other choices that occur outside the timeline. It took me 18 months to get through the first timeline in my life, using the clues in the story to help me make decisions. This time, I feel like I’m half way through the story’s timeline in just 6 weeks.

Why do you think that is? 

The 2nd time around, I’m making connections so much faster. I’m manifesting spiritual but also material things so quickly – it’s mind blowing.

Because of the first story, I’m now more comfortable, more open to the symbolism all around me. I’m open to my intuition. My perception is broader. So I’m more trusting and making connections and decisions faster. I also believe in myself a lot more and I’m sure that’s making a difference.

Can you give me examples from your 2nd story and how it’s helping you now? 

I was brought to tears so many times when I listened to it the first time. It was like a reality check – not like a kick in the pants, but a gentle “Hey, can’t you see what you could be doing right now?”

I’d been procrastinating on a decision to move to Ontario and start a new business. Now, I’m here, and so many things have fallen into place. My material goals, my spiritual development, and my overall well-being are coming together at a rate I previously had never experienced.

Part of the vision you received reminded you of the shopping sequence in the movie Pretty Woman – of not feeling accepted – and then you saw my kids run into a brownstone house. That showed me that my first step here was to help my kids settle in before focusing on my new career direction. I’ve done that and they’re thriving, feeling so safe and accepted. They’re making friends easily and my youngest, even more free spirited than myself, feels so much more confident to explore on her own here.

The next step, as revealed in the story, is to unlock the gate to the garden. I have such trust now that whatever is meant to happen is happening. I’m getting hints at what that is from the story, but it’s exciting to be able to recognize the signs and opportunities around me. I know I’m going in the right direction.

At the end of this 2nd Divine Storytelling Time, the colour pink is splashing off my desk all over the floor and spreading all over the place, eventually shining through as pink veins all over the planet. The particular shade of pink is one that often reminds people of me and my work. I recognize that this is something I’m working towards – the goal of my new venture is to help others light themselves up… to be inspired and fulfilled in their lives no matter what their current circumstances. I’m moving away from just being a website designer and stepping into the role of a life and business coach.

Your story showed me the potential my life holds. That’s so exciting! So motivating!

Any other specific examples? 

There were charms in both readings, this time on a necklace. You identified some of the charms and it was easy to see that these were my goals along the way. I’m working through those so quickly.

What about your Visual Gifts. How did these help?

Your first photograph (here) had several layers of imagery from New Brunswick when you didn’t know I was considering moving there. Of all the photos from your international travels, you chose to layer a few from NB. That was the confirmation my heart and mind were searching for. It provided comfort that moving there was the right decision for my family.

I’m still trying to figure out the one from this time (top). You’ve got 2 floating chairs looking back on the tracks through the tunnel and still have a layer from New Brunswick. I was a bit confused about that. I’d been in a relationship in NB before the summer, which ended when my priorities shifted due to an illness in my family, so a second chair was a bit of a brain-teaser.

But now it looks like we may start that up again, even though I’m now in another province. So it’s starting to make sense. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I’m not holding onto any fear or worry. I know I’m in the right place, on track for right now – and clearly with more abundance than I thought to hope for.

What about the Spirit Calling Card Reading? 

My latest reading was so significant. The fact “time” & “prosperity” jumped out of the pack as you were shuffling was a definite confirmation.  And when you told me that you’d been guided or even corrected to use the word “with” instead of “to” in the sentence, it totally shifted my perspective. That’s strong!

Do you see this kind of intuitive reading as helpful for everyone? 

I’d say you have to have an open mind and a belief that your intuition is guiding you. There was a huge difference between my 1st and 2nd reading because my energy was more scattered back then.

For me, this kind of reading is perfect. I think a typical psychic does a lot of the figuring out for you. You’re more dependent on what they say. With the Divine Storytelling Time, I had less fear that you were going to foretell something specific.

Because you’re a lightworker, you focus on the positive steps to live your best life. I wasn’t depending on you to make the meaning out of the story. That’s my job. That was the fun and really empowering part for me.

I find your style a lot more personal. I felt more involved. Sure, it was more of a challenge, but so much more powerful, personal. I feel you reach people at a deeper level of their soul – letting them figure out where their potential can take them. There are times I get giddy when I make a connection, which I don’t expect would happen if I visited a psychic.

I’m so much more self-aware and intuitive now because I was willing to do the work, and pay attention to my surroundings. And I believe in myself more because of it.

Each move I’ve made based on the wish sequence in the atrium in the first story, for example, has set off a ton of things in motion. The vision itself was a step in the right direction and every decision since has got me to where I am now – which is way ahead of where I was 2.5 years ago. And they’re still in motion, just at a much more rapid pace.

My trust has increased 20-fold – in me and in what’s happening. There’s no end to the story. I have faith that I’m making the right decisions and that’s something that’s definitely come out of working with your particular style of gift.

I don’t know if you realize that you influence me almost on a daily basis. Specific phrases you’ve said, and your genuine nature have had an effect on not just myself as an entrepreneur and individual, but how I understand and parent my youngest child (the free spirit). You’ve made such a difference in my life.

Ask and You Shall Receive – Representing my Intuition into Action Treasure Map – 5 Steps to a Happy Healthy Life

Here’s what the various rings of the mandala mean, from the centre out.

Step 1 – Ask

“Ask and you shall receive”. You’re asking all the time, but best do it intentionally. Because of “free will”, you need to ask for answers, help, and clarity.

Many of the symbols I used here have more than one meaning.

The hands in prayer are also peace doves.

The flame is not only your Light, your passion, and your meditative focus, but also the Holy Spirit.

What else do you see?

 

Step 2 – Access

Step 2

You’re ­­constantly receiving Guidance, but it’s hard to hear with all the noise. When in a state of hyper-awareness, you can see/hear/feel/etc. the clues. Intuitive hearing aids can accelerate results and give focused practice. The right brain and heart are active here.

I included a solid ring here to remind us to create space.

Then I represented the 6 clairs and the power of symbolism plus The Eye of Ra (symbol of all intuitive channels) inside chakra or rainbow-coloured hexagons – part of sacred geometry.

Step 3 – Analyze

With practice, the gap between accessing and analyzing get shorter. Here, the left brain joins in to make connections between the question and the clues. Decipher the the symbolism. You’re the most qualified to understand the messages you receive.

As you can see, the hexagons (intuitive channels) overlap into this ring of the mandala. That’s because intuition continues to play a role here, but interpretation helps, especially with the symbolism.

In this ring of the mandala, I painted the yin-yang as a symbol of the harmony between your right feminine intuitive mind and left masculine analytical mind.  I also painted question marks between the puzzle pieces because your job here is to match the pieces with your original question.

Step 4 – Act

Guidance is of no use if you don’t act on it. Follow through with inspired action, from baby steps to leaps of faith. The more you act, the easier it’ll get.

Indeed, take inspired action in all areas of your life. Here, I chose to represent them as glowing arrows forward for your 1) physical environment; 2) fun/recreation; 3) business / career; 4) personal/spiritual development; 5) wellness & health; 6) Romance/Family; 7) Finances/life planning; 8) Society.

Step 5 – Allow

Go with YOUR flow. Let things evolve and stay tuned in. Miracles and magic will happen. Trust that if you’re guided, there’s a reason for it in the big picture. 

That’s why I used a design in here to indicate movement in both directions.  You can also see that divine timing is involved here in the rising and setting of the sun, day after day. Stand in your Truth and trust that all the pieces of the puzzle will eventually come together.

Don’t worry if you disconnect and fall out of alignment with your soul. Just start the 5 steps again.
