Wolf Moon Drum

Happy Full Moon!

Do you use the moon’s eight energy phases to live your best life?

Are you aware of the influence of the new Moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full Moon, waning gibbous, third quarter and waning crescent?

The moon doesn’t only have an effects on the tides, but also on humans, who are 60% water. That’s why the moon’s journey affects our outlooks, personality and lives.

Many of my friends use the lunar cycles to plan their inner and outer trajectory through life much more than I do.

I followed astrologer Susan Miller for years, and had my chart done locally  by Elodie St-Onge, but haven’t paid much attention to either since the pandemic.

A health specialist in Calgary back in 2005 advised that I stand outside more to look at the moon as a way of getting out of my head and more into my heart, into the present, connected to Nature.

I was doing my Masters of Education at the time with my nose in the books. Now, decades later, I’m rarely out in the dark and often in bed early, unaware of the cycles of this powerful orb in the sky.

I do believe, however, that by becoming aware of the moon’s stages, we can awaken a new understanding of its power and of ourselves.

Because of the vision I received for this drum, reconnecting to the cycles of the moon is now one of my intentions living in the Umbrian hills in Italy for 2 months this summer while doing my Transformative Arts Certification at the Academy of Arts, Creativity & Consciousness..

There will be no Internet and therefore no Netflix at the ashram. Yay! Time to break that habit.

May I become more present to Nature at night as much as in the daytime. Who knows, I may also fall asleep to the howls of wolves, as I’ve read they are present in Umbria.

The Wolf Moon Drum

The Wolf Moon Drum is #8 of my 8-Painted-Drum-Fundraiser to cover costs of room & board at the Ananda Ashram in Italy this June & July.

You can see why I was thrilled to receive the vision for it, a few days after completing the Seed Drum.

Soon after that, with my legs up the wall in a restorative yoga pose, I got a second vision for the crystals around the hoop.

Setting each stone in mica gel and letting it dry for 7 hours before rotating the drum to set the next was an excellent practice in patience. lol

This journeying drum honours the Divine Feminine, the transformational support of the moon and its cycles, wolf spirit energy and St Germain’s Violet Flame.

Encircled by mica-encased quartz crystal, black obsidian and amethyst, it’s a very powerful drum.

If you look closely, there are a lot more stars on the left than on the right. That’s because the light from the full moon makes it so we can only see the prominent stars. At the new moon, on a clear night, it’s a starry delight. I had fun with a toothbrush for these galaxies.

You could see the wolf as the hair of the woman’s face but also her wild and intuitive soul.

You may recognize it from a design I created a few years back. I also used the stencil I created in December for my latest Mary Magdalene painting for the profile of the Divine Feminine. It seemed fitting to bring both of these back & together.

The crystals are encased in a lot of mica that holds the energy of love & compassion. With the vibrations of drumming and the frequent transport of the drum, they had to be solid.

The 4 clear quartz crystal points are crown chakra crystals to amplify the energy, intentions and manifestations of the drummer, of the stones and of the energy work that went into the painting. They’re also clear as water (for the moon) and represent the light – great for clarity and emotional stability.

The black obsidian represents the dark night, a psychic protection stone that is great for grounding and cleansing.

And then there’s the amethysts, a calming crown & third eye chakra stone associated with St. Germain, whose energy is also present in the Violet Flames between moon phases on the front of the drum.

This drum has been sold, but allow its energy to support you in both the photo above or the video below.

What a blessing! As of last Thursday, all 8 drums in my fundraiser have found good homes. Commissions are available for $1,111 CA. Contact me to enquire.
