The 3 paintings in this week’s Love Oracle series were all contestants in the Newfoundland & Labrador Arts & Letters Awards competition in recent years.
The one on the left, “Every Dot a Prayer” was a 1st Prize winner in 2019 and hung in the prestigious The Rooms cultural facility.
After 4 months of keeping them a secret during the jurying process of their respective year, however, the other 2 didn’t win nor were they a part of the finalists exhibition. But that’s OK. They were still winners on many levels.
That’s what inspired this week’s Love Oracle Messages below.

Love Oracle Message 1: Teach What You Learn
Dear Beloved,
Life is a learning process. Whether you’re learning something new, diving deeper into the layers of learning, or being reminded of previous lessons you need to re-connect to, know that your journey can serve more than just you.
The best way to integrate something is to repeat it – sharing what you’ve learned until it becomes even more ingrained in your way of being.
You may stumble and have to re-learn something. That’s OK. The stumble doesn’t make you a loser. The willingness to learn again or on a deeper level makes you a winner.
What part of your learning process can help those around you?
The best way to learn something is to teach it.
When I was guided to create the Re-Connecting Collection of 11 paintings exploring my spiritual journey, I had no idea what I would discover or recover from the depths of my soul and the steps of my life.
This painting, the first in the series, launched an intense year of co-creation.
The best way for me to integrate the lessons from Spirit and the intuitive painting process was to share them.
Once the whole collection was finished, I created a series of 11 Re-Connect to your True Self video lessons to help others benefit from the inner & outer work I’d done. My journey was now of service to others.

Love Oracle Message 2: Do What You Love
Dear Beloved,
When an artist submits to the Arts & Letters competition, they only submit images of the artwork without explanations.
One of the jury notes for this one stated that there was no obvious reason for my choice of using 2 canvases instead of one.
I could easily see why they would say that. Art is extremely personal and although the reasons were obvious to me, I couldn’t expect someone else to get it … unless they did.
I reflected on the comment and knew that if I could do it over again, I would still choose to do this painting on 2 canvases.
The space between the seen reality in “Sunset in the Dreamtime” is the gateway, the portal to the unseen, with the support of the crystals to help enter otherworld journeys – awake or asleep.
Although it wasn’t a winner in the competition, it was still a winner in my life.
First, as it hung on my wall during the 4 months when it couldn’t be revealed to the public in any way, it acted as a constant reminder of my magical sunset kayak journey on the Mobile Canal with friends.
Second, every time I walked by it, it reminded me of the importance to take time to get out in nature to enjoy the types of activities that elevate my vibration and nourish my soul.
The kayak, the stones, the energy-work, the texture and colours – and the space in between – all nudged me to co-create days & nights in a way to connect to the power of awe and gratitude.
Over and over, this painting worked its magic on me. And when I followed up on its intuitive nudges, I felt like a winner.
The fact it wasn’t a winner in others’ eyes didn’t make it a loser. It didn’t make me a loser either. I didn’t take it personally at all.
So be a winner in your own heart, mind and eyes. Do what you love for the reasons you love it. No explanations needed. No one else’s judgments need apply.

Love Oracle Message 3: Re-Align Time and Time Again
Dear Beloved,
Your life is perfectly evolving layer by layer, building on all your past & present experiences, values, lessons, etc.
What you may consider mistakes, losses, or challenges are all opportunities to learn, grow, and know yourself better.
By recognizing and not harping on what doesn’t work or feel good in your life, you get to co-create what does.
Your job is to notice when your body, mind and spirit are getting out of alignment with your Higher Self and to be & do what it takes to get back on track – your track.
This doesn’t mean rejecting the past and all that’s in it. It also doesn’t mean hanging on to it so tightly that it can’t expand from there.
Take this painting, for example. I just found out it isn’t a finalist in this year’s Arts & Letters Awards. But every time I look it, it reminds me that I’ve already won.
What did I win? I won a huge lesson in non-attachment.
You see, beneath it, is the painting “The Universe is My Creative Playground” – # 6 in the Re-Connecting Collection. It was an important piece with many valuable lessons to share.
Painting people, and especially faces, however, has never been my forte. So although it was part of a few exhibitions and I still offer prints, I didn’t enjoy having it on my own walls and couldn’t imagine anyone buying it. So, one day, after weeks of being intuitively guided to, I finally decided to paint over it. And now I absolutely love it!!!
That was a huge step in non-attachment as it was part of a collection. But how absolutely freeing!
Elements of that original painting can still be seen, infusing the final piece with previous colour, symbolism, texture and energy blended into the newness that now makes “Divine Essence” what it is. Can you see the eye next to the wrist in the white light ray?
The whole intuitive painting process means having to let go of what is to open to what it’s becoming. In this case, even when the painting had been publicly declared “finished”.
You too are a work in progress. That in itself makes you a winner!
Enjoy the daily wins that come through your choices in being & doing, letting go of what keeps you stuck and stagnant.
Have fun being grateful for what was because it’s led you to what is and opens you up to what’s becoming. Bravo!

Love Oracle 16: Nurture the Connection

Love Oracle Message 1: Connect with Nature
Dear Beloved,
Nurturing your connection with nature can nourish you on so many levels.
You may have a particular creature that conveys the presence of a loved one or signals something significant to you – a sign from the angels, perhaps?
Dragonflies, butterflies, hummingbirds, owls – the possibilities and symbolism are endless and personal. Search for meaning from your encounters and feel the blessings they bring to you.
Time in nature will also increase your Life Force – by deeply and fully breathing in fresh air and encouraging healthy blood circulation through movement. This Life Force is your bridge to Spirit, to your intuition. You may have a much easier time making decisions or finding clarity when immersed in the energy and beauty of nature.
Your connection to your True Self is also enhanced by your direct connection to Mother Earth. Take off your shoes or gloves and place your feet and hands directly on the grass, in the water, or on a rock. Hug a tree. You’ll be amazed at how grounded and connected you’ll feel as your body absorbs the free electrons. Connection with this beautiful planet can bring you back to life, rejuvenating and restoring your energy field.

Love Oracle Message 2: Connect with Spirit
Dear Beloved,
If you’ve picked this painting, you’re being asked to nurture and honour your spiritual connection. What does this mean to you?
Are you longing to connect to a soul that’s left the visible physical plane? Know that your loved ones are always here bathing you in love. You can communicate to them through prayer, thought, conversation or with the help of a medium.
Just as you would make time for a conversation with them when they were alive, make time for them now. Feel free to ask for a sign and stay aware in the days that follow. Your answer may come through many different ways – stay open and feel that connection as a continuing one, albeit different.
You may be hungry for a deeper connection with your faith, be it a religious or more universally spiritual one. How can you nurture your faith? The layers upon layers of orbs in the painting “Beyond the Veil” that you chose, felt to me like the prayers bubbling through the portal in one direction and the love from all dimensions coming back through this opening in the veil to support us all. Looked at horizontally, the centre of the Vesica Pisces sacred geometry also looks like an eye. Know that you are seen.
The swirling flames represent both the Holy Spirit and that living symbol of the Divine fire that burns in every soul. The crystal drop at its centre is there to help amplify the energy of your prayers as you nurture your spiritual connection.
Love Oracle Message 3: Connect with Both the Divine Masculine & Feminine
By choosing the painting “A Return to Love” you’re being asked to nurture the connection of the divine masculine & feminine within yourself and your human relationships.
This means being open to both the giving and receiving, the movement outwards and inwards, the strong sense of adventure and need for gentle nurturing.

Love Oracle 15: Life is (Up) in the Air
/in Inspiration, PaintingsWhen we act on an inspiration, it opens our hearts and intuitive channels for further inspiration.
My 2022 Community Spirit Treasure Hunt (for which these were painted) in collaboration with The Guide to the Good and 11 local businesses was a result of several inspirations. First, I booked the April exhibition. Then, I asked Spirit how else I could contribute to the energy flow in my community after spending a few years mostly working online.
When the Treasure Hunt all came together, I was further inspired to create a whole series of new smaller pieces (value up to $500) for folks to enjoy picking their top 3, a question on their Treasure Hunt form.
Who knows what other beneficial ripple effects will emerge from my saying Yes! to intuitive guidance. All I know is that I’m feeling much more alive and on purpose because of it. May the message you receive here help you do the same.

Fluking is when a whale lifts its tail in the air as it begins a deep dive. This helps it thrust its body into a more steeply angled descent so it can reach deeper waters.
It’s now time for you to create momentum in a specific area in your life by diving deeper into it. Which one comes to mind/heart when you read this:
What is the next best step – an inspired step – you can take to start that momentum?
If you’re not sure, sit quietly and ask your Team of Divine Helpers. Then listen with all your senses. You may get an idea, a visual, a clue in your environment, a memory, a call, etc.
Know that as you ask, you shall receive. Know also that if you say Yes! to that inspired step, the next will arise in your awareness so that you too can dive deeper into your purpose, your sense of fulfillment in all areas of your life.
From intuition to inspired action – you need both.
And it’s OK if the final destination is still up in the air. There will be sacred intentions and a feeling of being even more alive in the air once you startbbuilding up that momentum.

Your magic is in your ability to make that special effort to appreciate all the good things in your life.
When others might complain about the rain, you’re turning your attention to how it nourishes Mother Earth, how it’s washing your car, and how it feels ticklish on your skin.
When it could be so easy to wallow and complain about your challenges, you’re moved to reflect on how they’re serving you.
When you may be tempted to negatively judge a person or situation, you’re reminded of the Divine Essence in each, looking for the opportunities for growth, gratitude and appreciation.
If you find yourself physically closing in on yourself and looking down, straighten up, look high up in the air and count your blessings.

Love Oracle 14: Appreciating the Textures of Life

Let me tell you a story of how 2 children on a plane helped me appreciate the textures of life.
I was on my way home from living overseas and the last leg of the journey was on a tiny plane with only 1 seat on each side of the isle. Soon after take-off from Detroit, the tiny plane found itself being tossed around in turbulence.
My first reaction was fear. I’ve watched plenty of airplane crash movies…
But the 2 kids across the isle were returning home from Disneyland. They laughed and screamed “weeeeeee” as they flung their arms in the air with every “bump in the road”.
That’s when I realized I had a choice in the matter. I could choose to be terrified for my life or to enjoy it while appreciating being in the company of 2 amazing teachers. I shifted to the latter and landed back home delighted with both the lesson and the journey.

Turn that space into an altar and place there the resources, messages, opportunities to re-connect to the Truth.
Repeat after me:
You are rooted in God / Spirit/ Source/ The Universe. Your branches extend into the Heavens.
As you dance to the rhythms of your seasons, remember to journey deep within your Self, where all your answers live.

You are a SuperSoul!
Your life has been a perfect recipe for sacred success in the making.
The unique ingredients of that life have been blended together to offer the world the tasty treat that is You!
You’ve been seasoned by your family make-up, spiritual upbringing, schooling, physical environment, travels, relationships, culture, experiences, etc.
The sweetness, saltiness, bitterness, sourness, umami, heat and coolness of each have all contributed to the unique balance of flavours on your journey.
That’s what makes you a superhero in your own life.
Had any of the elements been missing or mixed differently, you wouldn’t be who you are today. And who you are today is exactly who you were meant to be so that you may continue to emerge more fully as your True Self.
Trust in this perfect recipe for sacred success that your soul may have chosen before incarnation.
Trust also that others around you have been part of the plan so that you would bake or cook at the perfect temperature and in the perfect pot with the help of the perfect food growers, providers, cooks and diners.
Can you acknowledge that all that has happened in your life happened for you, not to you? If you can, you’ll be much happier in the kitchen.

The Law of Compensation
Dear Beloved,
The more you give, the more you get. The opposite is also true.
The key is not to give in order to get. That takes love out of the equation and just won’t work.
So if today is a reflection of what you’ve given in the past, how can your choices today attract what you’d like to receive in the future?
What doors are you opening with your generosity and kindness? What are you contributing, receiving, building in your world?
The beauty is that there are many ways to give.
No matter if you’re the type of person who is very active in the community, part of a family unit, or single with more hermit tendencies – you can find ways to give that suit your unique presence and purpose on this planet.
Here are the 7 Sacred Gifts that Give You Everything, according to Derek Rydall, one of my teachers.
Try focusing on one every day or every week and watch your inner and outer realities transform.
The results may not be immediate. You may not make the connection between what you’re giving and what you’re receiving. You don’t need to.
Remember, however, that to be a part of the Universal Energy Flow, you need to be as gracious about receiving as you are about giving.
You may already be a big giver but have trouble accepting the fruits of others’ giving. Or is it difficult for you to ask for help, which offers others an opportunity to give?

Dear Beloved,
Life is a learning process. Whether you’re learning something new, diving deeper into the layers of learning, or being reminded of previous lessons you need to re-connect to, know that your journey can serve more than just you.
The best way to integrate something is to repeat it – sharing what you’ve learned until it becomes even more ingrained in your way of being.
You may stumble and have to re-learn something. That’s OK. The stumble doesn’t make you a loser. The willingness to learn again or on a deeper level makes you a winner.

The best way to learn something is to teach it.
When I was guided to create the Re-Connecting Collection of 11 paintings exploring my spiritual journey, I had no idea what I would discover or recover from the depths of my soul and the steps of my life.
This painting, the first in the series, launched an intense year of co-creation.
The best way for me to integrate the lessons from Spirit and the intuitive painting process was to share them.
Once the whole collection was finished, I created a series of 11 Re-Connect to your True Self video lessons to help others benefit from the inner & outer work I’d done. My journey was now of service to others.

Love Oracle Message 2: Do What You Love
When an artist submits to the Arts & Letters competition, they only submit images of the artwork without explanations.
One of the jury notes for this one stated that there was no obvious reason for my choice of using 2 canvases instead of one.
I could easily see why they would say that. Art is extremely personal and although the reasons were obvious to me, I couldn’t expect someone else to get it … unless they did.
I reflected on the comment and knew that if I could do it over again, I would still choose to do this painting on 2 canvases.
The space between the seen reality in “Sunset in the Dreamtime” is the gateway, the portal to the unseen, with the support of the crystals to help enter otherworld journeys – awake or asleep.
Although it wasn’t a winner in the competition, it was still a winner in my life.
First, as it hung on my wall during the 4 months when it couldn’t be revealed to the public in any way, it acted as a constant reminder of my magical sunset kayak journey on the Mobile Canal with friends.
Second, every time I walked by it, it reminded me of the importance to take time to get out in nature to enjoy the types of activities that elevate my vibration and nourish my soul.
The kayak, the stones, the energy-work, the texture and colours – and the space in between – all nudged me to co-create days & nights in a way to connect to the power of awe and gratitude.
Over and over, this painting worked its magic on me. And when I followed up on its intuitive nudges, I felt like a winner.
The fact it wasn’t a winner in others’ eyes didn’t make it a loser. It didn’t make me a loser either. I didn’t take it personally at all.
So be a winner in your own heart, mind and eyes. Do what you love for the reasons you love it. No explanations needed. No one else’s judgments need apply.
Love Oracle Message 3: Re-Align Time and Time Again
Your life is perfectly evolving layer by layer, building on all your past & present experiences, values, lessons, etc.
What you may consider mistakes, losses, or challenges are all opportunities to learn, grow, and know yourself better.
By recognizing and not harping on what doesn’t work or feel good in your life, you get to co-create what does.
Your job is to notice when your body, mind and spirit are getting out of alignment with your Higher Self and to be & do what it takes to get back on track – your track.
This doesn’t mean rejecting the past and all that’s in it. It also doesn’t mean hanging on to it so tightly that it can’t expand from there.
Take this painting, for example. I just found out it isn’t a finalist in this year’s Arts & Letters Awards. But every time I look it, it reminds me that I’ve already won.
What did I win? I won a huge lesson in non-attachment.
You see, beneath it, is the painting “The Universe is My Creative Playground” – # 6 in the Re-Connecting Collection. It was an important piece with many valuable lessons to share.
Painting people, and especially faces, however, has never been my forte. So although it was part of a few exhibitions and I still offer prints, I didn’t enjoy having it on my own walls and couldn’t imagine anyone buying it. So, one day, after weeks of being intuitively guided to, I finally decided to paint over it. And now I absolutely love it!!!
That was a huge step in non-attachment as it was part of a collection. But how absolutely freeing!
Elements of that original painting can still be seen, infusing the final piece with previous colour, symbolism, texture and energy blended into the newness that now makes “Divine Essence” what it is. Can you see the eye next to the wrist in the white light ray?
The whole intuitive painting process means having to let go of what is to open to what it’s becoming. In this case, even when the painting had been publicly declared “finished”.
You too are a work in progress. That in itself makes you a winner!
Enjoy the daily wins that come through your choices in being & doing, letting go of what keeps you stuck and stagnant.
Have fun being grateful for what was because it’s led you to what is and opens you up to what’s becoming. Bravo!

Love Oracle Message 1: Look for the Rainbows
Dear Beloved,
The rainbow has been an important symbol in many cultures throughout history. This amalgamation of light fills our hearts with awe – a perfect harmonic combination that symbolizes beauty, promise and enlightenment.
During the pandemic, hand-drawn rainbows in windows became a popular symbol of hope.
They’re also symbols of unity, creation, expansion, connection, opening, transformation, initiation, LGBTQ pride, good luck and so much more.
There will always be sun & rain. Both are needed and natural. It’s in the time of transition when droplets of water are still in the air and the sun comes out that rainbows appear.
Whether you’re looking for a portal for divine connection, a gateway to healing, or a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, look with an open heart to keep hope alive.
Sometimes, it’s best to keep your face to the sunshine to avoid seeing the shadows. But sometimes, it’s required or unavoidable to look in the opposite direction from the sun. That’s also where you’ll find the rainbows.
So yes, harsh news, challenges and struggles continue in this time of transition, but know that the sun is behind you and that if you look with your heart, you’ll find the rainbows in the morphing storms of life. Keep hope alive and you’ll also witness or be inspired to take part in the transformation.

Love Oracle Message 2: Get Out of Your Goop to Spread Your Wings
Dear Beloved,
It’s time to emerge from the goop to spread your wings and fly.
There’s a good reason caterpillars stuff themselves before hanging upside down and spinning themselves into a chrysalis (for butterflies) or cocoon (for moths). That’s where they digest themselves until they’re basically goop – a very necessary process in the life cycle.
They need that time to regenerate into a new and different form. From that enzyme & protein rich goop comes a complete transformation, a beautiful metamorphosis.
For most caterpillars, it takes 5-21 days. For others in really harsh conditions, it can take up to 3 years.
The pandemic qualifies as harsh conditions and we’ve been in it for a few years. It’s OK if you felt the need to cocoon and stuff yourself….
But if you stay in that state, you may suffocate in your own goop and not grow into who you were meant to become.
It’s time to satisfy a new thirst for life: to do what it takes to break out of your shell (whether that be your home, your shrunken comfort zones, or limiting beliefs).
It’s time to spread your wings – discover who you are today.
You are no longer meant to be a caterpillar and to measure your goals, dreams, etc. by caterpillar standards.
It’s time to get to know the Butterfly-You! What delights does this newly-emerged version of you want to explore?
Your cocoon / chrysalis may have served you. But is it time to break out now?
Enjoy the freedom to be Truly You no matter what stage of your life cycle you’re in!
Love Oracle Message 3: Drink the Nectar of Life
May the spirit of the hummingbird inspire your journey this week and for years to come.
This amazing tiny creature can move like no other bird – up, down, backwards, forwards and even hovering in one place. Its movement possibilities seem endless.
So are yours! You have so many choices in every moment of where to place your attention with an environment rich with blessings to take part in.
Also, hummingbirds travels 2000 km twice a year between South and North America- another amazing feat!
One way they can do this is that they spend their time searching for the sweetest nectar to drink from. They trust that the nectar will be there. When they finally discover those juicy flowers, they don’t just drink from them, but fully experience and taste the sweetness of their nectar.
That’s your Love Oracle message for this week. Drink deeply from the sweet nectar of life, searching for the sweet moments and trusting that there is sweetness all around you if you have the eyes to see it and the heart to feel it.

Your thirst has led you here today. What first comes to mind or heart when asked “What are you thirsty for?”
I’m not talking about the essential biological mechanism that balances your fluids. Rather, think about your thirsts on all levels – body, mind & spirit.
The next question is “Where are you looking to quench that thirst?”
Contemplate whether you’re engaged in behaviours or beliefs that trick you into thinking you’re dealing with your thirst. In reality, are they leaving you parched?
Often, you may think you’re thirsty for something on the outside, but that may just satisfy a superficial thirst or lead you to drink yourself into oblivion.
Go deeper. The true thirst quencher may very well be found within the great well of wisdom in your soul – that connection to All That Is.
Tune into your divine feminine, your intuition, as the well from which to draw for inspired connection & action.

Ground yourself in Mother Earth’s lap, either physically or through a visioning meditation (many available in the Guided Meditation playlist on my YouTube channel).
Be or visualize yourself in a natural space of your choosing connecting to whatever furry, feathered, scaly or smooth-skinned creature that shows up.
You may meet your monkey-mind. That’s OK. It was likely already there. Place your attention on what other creatures come to comfort you?
Allow their presence to calm your mind. Allow your breathing to mimic their full, deep, and relaxed rhythm.
Allow your hands (again, real or imaginary) to feel their textures and connect to their hearts.
What about their way of being on the Earth can help you centre yourself, ground yourself better into who you are?
Ask these creatures for a message you need to feel more comfortable in your mind and in your life this week. Then make space to hear their callings.
